Selected scenes for my film's trailer
1. The geography teacher, Mr. Johnson, sitting at his desk in his classroom saying, “Don’t be late at the airport tomorrow.” - This shot’s function is to tell the audience that the students are going away on a trip somewhere.
2. Emily and Chris walk past each other in the school corridors. - This portrays the equilibrium and shows her normal life before the disruption. It also introduces characters.
3. Mr. Johnson is showing the students a picture of the Flower of Immortality and telling them about it on the plane. - This introduces the legend of the Flower and attracts attention towards it.
4. Emily discovers the Flower of Immortality in the Amazon rainforest. - This tells the audience that she finds it and also the setting of the Amazon connotes the action-adventure genre.
5. Emily and Chris go on a walk together at night. - This sets up the romance sub-genre.
6. Drafogus is shown in the form of a human and he says, “You must find the Flower before it’s too late.” - This introduces the donor in the film and tells the audience that something terrible is going to happen if the Flower isn’t found so it draws attention to the matter and could be found quite exciting.
7. Emily, Chris, Drafogus and Crabioid come face to face with each other and an epic battle is about to take place. - This is the climax of the film and should be enticing to the audience.
8. Drafogus and Crabioid shape shift into a lion and a tiger and pounce at each other, about to attack. - The audience find this exciting to watch.
9. Emily is about to stab something or someone but the audience can’t see who. - This is enigmatic and leaves the audience in suspense, wanting to watch the film to find out what’s going to happen.
